How Long Should You Spend in St. George’s?
Allow at least three to four hours to explore St. George’s, although visitors interested in history, photography, beaches and Bermuda culture can easily spend most of a day in the East End.
A few hours gives you time to explore King’s Square, the historic lanes, St. Peter’s Church and the Unfinished Church. With half a day or longer, you can also visit Fort St. Catherine, explore the surrounding fortifications and coastline, stop for lunch and visit nearby beaches.
Because St. George’s and its surrounding fortifications together form a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is considerably more to see than just the historic town centre. The World Heritage area preserves a remarkable collection of fortifications spanning several centuries of Bermuda’s military history
