Do You Need a Car to Explore Bermuda?

Visitors cannot rent conventional cars in Bermuda, but two-passenger electric mini-cars are available for rent. Keep in mind, however, that Bermuda’s roads are narrow and all vehicles drive on the left-hand side. Unless you are comfortable driving in a foreign country under these conditions, you may prefer to explore the island using one of its many other transportation options. Getting around is easy by taxi, public bus, ferry or private guided transportation. If you only have a day to explore, a private tour with transportation can be one of the easiest ways to see more of the island without spending valuable time navigating public transportation.
